Villa Astrum is a spacious, modern, yet rustic family mansion, renovated to suit guests, offering a 4500 square feet of living space.
It was built using natural materials and designed with unique rustic furniture, equipped with all modern appliances, floor heating, and a stable and reliable Wi-Fi connection. The whole interior space is air conditioned.
Rooms in Villa Astrum are named after the stars. There are three bedrooms, and a full apartment on mezzanine floor.
Guests can rent the three bedrooms, whereas renting the apartment is optional, as it can be accessed through the joint or its own entrance. The Villa is suitable for shorter or longer stays for individuals or groups counting up to 10 people.
Sirius is the smallest room. With an area of 12 square meters and facing south, it is warm and bright and thus bears the name of a star as bright as the Sun. It has a queen size bed and a safe deposit box.
Living areas in Villa Astrum are located on a higher ground floor. Their style and decoration make this Villa unique and cozy, and they also make us all proud.
You can enter the main lounge from the main entrance hall, which is dominated by a rustic staircase. In the lounge, there are Chesterfield sofas, a large screen TV, a bar, and a small library for those still valuing books over screens. It is an authentic, warm space, complemented by a massive old dining table for ten, overlooking a rustic open kitchen equipped with all necessary appliances.
Dining and lounge areas are connected to a lengthy enclosed balcony, in case you prefer having your morning coffee or breakfast outside, but still staying indoors! You can access the backyard by going down this balcony’s stairs.
Villa Astrum was inspired by Roman countryside villas rusticas where high class nobility of the ancient Rome spent time in leisure. A city formerly known as Sirmium was a big Roman city nearby where nine Roman Emperors were born.
Villa’s 2-acre yard has two gates. It is connected to road networks, with sufficient indoor and outdoor parking space. The front side of the yard is covered by wall fence, whereas lateral sides are covered in lush greenery of hazelnut trees, providing a sense of intimacy and privacy.
Apart from the main Villa, hidden by an array of cypress trees, there is a so-called hunting lodge. With the size of 50 sqm and the capacity of hosting 2-4 persons, it is fully equipped as an independent unit, with a rustic brick-laid barbeque area and an outdoor dining table for 8 people. Behind the lodge, there are three dog houses for our guests’ hunting dogs. The proximity of the internationally known hunting ground Karakusa makes our lot a perfectly suitable place for those who are fond of traditional hunting.
As to please our dearest, youngest guests, we created a wonderful playground with a big treehouse sitting in the crown of a mighty walnut tree. The position of the playground allows the parents to constantly keep an eye on their children, while the children can still hide in their own little castle.
Centrally located half acre lawn is decked by brick paths which take you to a magnificent gazebo surrounded by a forest. The gazebo is equipped with self-standing kitchen facilities and toilets, and it is fully covered with Wi-Fi signal. The gazebo can be rented separately for various celebrations or business events up that host up to 50 persons.
Adjacent to the indoor pool and spa, next to a massive, Roman inspired staircase, there is an ornamental canopy covered area with a water well – a place of pure hedonism.
